Golf For The Trades Scholarship
Dear Scholarship Applicant,
As graduation approaches it’s time to make your final decision. Selecting the right school can be an agonizing process and the financial burden overwhelming. Nonetheless, with a well thought out plan, you will move forward and pursue your dreams. Our members understand this and recognize the significant expense and sacrifice that often accompanies this endeavor. With that in mind the Greater Hartford Trades Scholarship Foundation grants graduating high school seniors scholarships to help defray a portion of those costs.
The Greater Hartford Trades Scholarship Foundation was created to expand awareness of the trades. Each application for the Greater Hartford Trades Scholarship is evaluated on the basis of financial need, academic achievement and community involvement (including work experience/sports). Anybody in the United States can apply for the Golf For The Trades Scholarship as long as they plan to go through a trade school that is not a 4-year college that ends with a bachelor’s degree.
Do I need to go to a Trade School in Connecticut to be eligible for the Golf For The Trades Scholarship?
The funds granted from the Golf For The Trades Scholarship can be used for the tuition of any non-4-year degree Trade School.
Which Trades are covered by the Golf For The Trades Scholarsholarship?
The Golf For The Trades Scholarship covers all Trades that require you to go to a Trade School that is not a college.
Some examples of these trades are:
- Electrician
- Plumber
- Cosmetologist
- Culinary Arts
- Arborist
- Elevator Mechanic
- Healthcare technician

Which documents do I need to send with the application?
To apply for the Golf For The Trades Scholarship you must include the following documents with you application
- Cover letter about yourself, your goals, achievements and any extenuating circumstances
- Resume
- Transcript
- One letter of recommendation
When is the deadline to apply for the Golf For The Trades Scholarship?
